Good ways to stop bulimia?

apparently it will kill me one day

so, i need to find a sure fire way

to stop

but lose weight?

because the bulimia is doing nothing

and it's annoying

because i wake up everyday

and tell myself i will starve myself

I've been bulimic for exactly a year now

NO I DO NOT WANT THERAPY

HI, you have got the right attitude, you are half way there simply by admitting you have this eating disorder, being aware of the 'serious' dangers and by wanting to heal yourself of this evil desease. I had it for approximately 7 years!!!

It has taken me this long to have the ability to cease it.

I lost hair, got gingivitis, lost eyelashes, all these things together made me realise what i was doing to myself. Talk about shock tactics.

If i can get over it, you can too. Starving yourself will not help either, by doing this you are putting your body in what they call 'starvation mode' which in turn will prevent your body from burning the fat/calories that are present in your system, in other words, the fat in your body will stay in your body, and by doing this you will NOT lose a sigle pound of weight.. Has taken me this long to come to terms with that fact, and believe it!!!

I understand your not wanting any therapy, tbh, i had a few different types of therapy, but none of it helped, at all…Only YOU can help yourself, it is all down to you..

I mean i still struggle, have opted to take slimming pills which is a short term problem to a long term one…but, eating small meals regularly, omitting snacking (POINT BLANK!) exercising up to 3, 4 times a week, eating less sweets and chocolates and fatty junk foods.

LOL STOP EATING SUGAR.

that's all you need to do with plenty of exercises.

i didn't eat sugar i cut out carbs for 2 weeks and i lost loads of weight wasn't by choice but i had a mega sweet tooth but since i cut out sugar for 2weeks i don't get the craving anymore i don't actually like the taste of sweet food.

my diet is soley made up of meat and brown pasta or rice and fruit oh and lots of oats and fibre.

but yeah starving ur self will slow your metabolism and you wont loose any weight and you wont have any energy to exercises.

Anxiety is abundant when you are living with a bulimic condition. Self hypnosis offers a way for you to sooth and relax yourself in a way that is healthy rather than through binge eating. The relaxation serves to put your mind in alpha state, which is similar to the state you are in when engrossed in a movie.

seriously.

you will die.

and the enamel on your teeth will rot out.

and your organs will shut down.

just get a picture of a really, really fat person,

and every morning when you wake up,

look at the picture.

well guess what, you have a psychological problem… therapy is definitely in order…the alternative is cutting your fingers off

Exercise and good diet. Focus on those instead. Find something to distract yourself. Chew gum or mints. And give yourself regular treats for keeping on track.

There are no other way to treat it but therapy unless you can control it by yourself. There are people who are willing to help you.
