Creatine for hockey player?

Hey everyone. I need your help ASAP.

I am a hockey player, and I don't currently take any protein supplements or anything like that. However, I was wondering if it would be ok for me to start taking creatine. A bunch of my friends take it, and it seems to work for them. I wanted to know:

Is it good for an athlete such as me, that works with agility and endurance for long periods of time, to take creatine (I heard it causes cramping)?

How effective is it?

How much should I work out to make it effective?

Is there any other supplements I can pair it with to lose fat?

Will it make me huge? I'd rather be cut, not jacked.

How long until I see results?

Thanks in advance for any advice. If you have anything else I need to know, please feel free to tell me.

Creatine and many other supplements capitalize on people's feelings of inferiority. There is no way that a protein supplement will make a tangible and noticeable difference in the performance of a high school athlete. Everybody talks about getting an edge on their competition, but the skill level in high school hockey is such that the edge can't be as subtle as ingesting a different/increased amount of protein. Maintain healthy eating habits, don't half *** ladders and keep an optimistic attitude and you should be fine. They aren't steroids and they won't be the magic bullet that makes you the best player on the team.
