Body aches after weight lifting?

I started weight lifting yesterday and today my body aches, is this because I have just started lifting and I will eventually get used to it?

Yes. It's perfectly normal. When you lift weights you are actually releasing lactic acid into the muscles and tearing fibers. The pain you are feeling is a good thing. It just means you damaged your muscles in a good way. Now, your body uses protein to rebuild the muscles, bigger and better than before. Generally speaking, your first week or 2 of lifting weights will be the hardest on your body. After a while the pain won't be as bad anymore.
